Our Story

Finding Each other

In the fall of 2015, on the campus of Eastern Michigan University, Stephen and Dalila met and quickly discovered a connection that began their journey to matrimony. They shared late nights at the student center, long conversations at the library, and quiet moments walking through campus together, but after the year, life took them in different directions. For four years, they navigated a long-distance relationship, staying close through calls, texts, and visits whenever they could. Then, as the world quarantined during the pandemic, they found themselves 3700 miles apart and for longer than ever before. Finally, after so much waiting, they reunited—no more FaceTime, phone calls or waiting, just the simple joy of being together again, ready to start a new chapter side by side.

Stephen first met Dalila while working at the recreation center at Eastern Michigan University. She entered, unaware that she was going to ask for help from her future husband.

Connected by love and separated by an ocean, they shared long nights and early mornings staying deeply in love through the phone while they endured years of long distance.

The pandemic was a blessing in disguise, propelling them to make the ultimate commitment and rejoining after years apart.

At last the alter, after miles of memories. We ask that you join us at the destination of love, on May 24th, we celebrate the miles to matrimony.
